Re:How to install the 'Resynth' plugin for the The Gimp on Windows XP

Pointing the unzip to the  MAIN gimp folder in Program file should work
(so not inside the plugin folder)

Anyway if you get any problem:

pick up the FILE (without the folder and sub- folders.. just that file "resythesis.exe") from the LIB  folder that is inside the zip and put it in the gimp "plugin" folder

then pick up the 2 script fu in the Share folder of the zip and put it in your script folder (as example in C:program files/GIMP/share/ gimp/2.0/script )

then you will find the plugin in Filter/enhance...and the 2 related script  in the script fu menu, next time you will load gimp
