A new set of GraphicsMagick snapshot packages ("030402") are now
available. The changes in this snapshot are primarily related to
temporary file management. Through testing it was discovered that
there were a few temporary file "leaks" and that MPEG decoding was no
longer working. It was also noticed that temporary file management
was not fully secure when invoking delegates (external programs).
These issues should now be resolved.
The MPEG decoding mechanism works differently than before.
Previously it worked based on the combination of a "coder" and a
delegate command from delegates.mgk. Now reading MPEG is entirely
controlled by a command line in delegates.mgk. In order to make this
possible in a portable fashion, the -temporary option has been added
to convert so that input temporary files are removed as soon as they
have been read.
Please bring any bugs discovered in these snapshots to our attention
so that they may be corrected ASAP.
Bob
