The installer text is wrong (will fix). It used to be right but it
seems that C++ libraries are compiler version dependent and with
people using anything from VC++ 6.0 to Visual Studio 2010, it is not
possible to supply a library which works for all.

It is best to build the library from source. It is usually pretty
easy to do so.
