Thanks for the info, I will follow your instructions and README.txt >There may be the possibility of statically linking the GraphicsMagick >library into the PerlMagick PPM, but that would not solve the >configuration file issue (.mgk files). It would also mean that >support for some formats (e.g. JBIG) should be left out due to >potential patent/license issues. This is a 'worthy' project and this would be very useful for me and other Perl programmers out there. The deployment of Perl programs using GM will be simplified on any platform. It will be a phase 2, once I get myself immersed in GM makefiles and understand the underlying issues better. For now I will go forward with phase 1 project: - Compile GM with TDM's MinGW (CVS HEAD code) - Compile PerlMagick with TDM's MinGW - Create a side-by-side install file for PerlMagick for ActiveState Perl 5.10, or even better, PPM module Tomek ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Download Intel® Parallel Studio Eval Try the new software tools for yourself. Speed compiling, find bugs proactively, and fine-tune applications for parallel performance. See why Intel Parallel Studio got high marks during beta. http://p.sf.net/sfu/intel-sw-dev
