Most interesting. I built the package with Visual C++ 6.0
successfully about a week before the package was released. The Visual
C++ 6.0 I used is the "standard" version so it lacks the improved
optimizer that comes with the "professional" versions.

Reports from various users regarding these internal compiler error
problems seem to indicate that they are sensitive to the Windows
system being used. Perhaps some resource has been expended but the
compiler doesn't notice or report the problem correctly.

Make sure that your %TMP% directory has lots of free space, your page
file has room to grow, and that your system has sufficient memory.

If worst comes to worst, you can remove FlashPIX from your workspace
and edit magick\magick_config.h & magick\static.c so FlashPIX is not
used.
