The latest GraphicsMagick 1.2 code now reads and writes 32-bits/sample grayscale and RGB TIFF files. It only outputs this depth (without special options) for the QuantumDepth=32 build. For those fanatics who build GraphicsMagick to support 32-bit quantums, TIFF can now be used as a viable intermediate intermediate format without loss. Please note that most applications which support TIFF can not support 32 bits/sample. GraphicsMagick 1.2 development sources will support reading and writing any bits/sample depth between 1 and 32.
