GM 1.2 Beta soon

It seems that after a very long gestation, it will not be long before GM 1.2 goes to Beta. I have been waiting for libtool 2.2 (part of the Unix build framework) to be formally released, and it seems this may happen within a couple of weeks. Please let me know about any important issues remaining. Also, I expect to make another GM 1.1.X bugfix release (1.1.11) as part of our continuing commitment to stability and quality.
