1st, why are you using dvgrab?  If the camera has a firewire port like my Sony 
does, kino should be able to control the camera functions and do its own 
capture.  I've never used any other method to import video/audio into kino.

I would test to see if the problem persists when you use kino to do the 
capturing.  I have shot 2 local weddings and made the folks either video CD's 
or dvd's of them and have not encountered more than maybe a 50 millisecond 
audio sync error.

I also was told that kino re-sync's the audio at manual edit or scene change 
triggered edit points, so I don't capture to the individual files for more 
than 2 minutes per file, and kino puts them back together seamlessly.
