Yes, mostly so. The problem is that I have not been able to reproduce
with the samples people have provided, pure code analysis of the area
crashing in libdv has not revealed a problem, and no one with the
problem has debugged it and sent a patch. Probably the best solution
at the moment is to compile dvgrab yourself with the option to not use
libdv; however, I do understand that is not a beginner's solution.
Maybe you have a friend to guide you or someone on the same distro
with the same problem (see distro forums) to provide a build for you.
