Hello,
A friend of mine has this Hitachi DZHV1074 camera, which records video
in some sort oh H.264 format that so far, we've been unable to properly
capture/convert to DV. An example of a recording in 1080p/25fps can be
found here:
http://www.linetec.nl/linux/file0034.mov (19MB)
Kino does convert it into HD format, but the result is choppy and
therefore unusable. This is some of the terminal output, starting from
loading the video in Kino on a Mandriva 2008.1 box:
KinoCommon::bulkLoad: Failed to load /home/richard/file0034.mov
which: no ffmpeg-kino in
(/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin/:/usr/games:/usr/lib/qt4/bin:/opt/real/RealPlayer:/home/richard/electron/geda-0.0.2/bin:/usr/lib/qt4/bin:/opt/real/RealPlayer)
