vhs to dv, blue detection

I want to transfer 60 4hour VHS tapes to dv.  I will play it on a
normal VCR that puts out blue when the tape ends, or between 'titles'
(tape needs to sync.)  I am using dvgrab to save to disk.  Trying to
figure out how to exit when the tape ends.

If I can't stop dvgrab, I am thinking of having it end after 4 hours,
then read/write all the frames and remove any blue, maybe split when
it sees some blue.
