Hi,

I am using a Canopus ADVC-55 for converting analogue video signals from 
VHS/Hi8 to DV. As soon as there is no longer any signal on the tape the 
Canopus does no longer generate any frames such that dvgrab effectively stops 
even if the tape is spinning on. Works both with a Philips VHS and a Sony Hi8 
camera.
