Subject: [Linuxmovies-general] DVCam Driver?

Hi All,

This is more of a broadcast television than film issue, but maybe someone
knows the answer. I'm looking to stream MPEG-4 via vls (videolan.org) but it
will only transcode/stream for devices that have good Linux drivers. Does
Linux have a driver for DVCam over firewire? In Windows 2000, it shows up as
"Microsoft DV VCR" (I've never heard a Sony DSR-2000 called a "VCR", but
that's ok). Any thoughts/pointers appreciated.

Cheers,
Robert
