I wouldn't trust that list at all.  From what I gather, it's mainly  
vendors submitting their client's machines in the hope it'll drum up  
some much needed publicity whether or not the data they submit it's  
accurate (i.e. based on sales of particular kit rather than how the  
machines are actually being used - I could have 6000 Quad Opterons,  
but don't imply that I'm using them as part of a render farm  
cluster).  Is there any checking from top500.org to ensure accuracy?

I seem to recall there being some interesting entries which had no  
basis in reality whatsoever from what discussion went on with the  
people that operated those sites.
