Every developer from Alias to Autodesk and Adobe all do a bug releases but often times major ones won't be fixed till the next release of the package a year later. In the past this was normal because we all bought yearly service contracts anyways. Maybe it's a shame that I and many others have become used to this. I don't know. I can see from these guys POV though. The software is 1/10th what it cost 10 years ago, so it can be hard to demand the same type of service as before. We paid 10k for Shake and 60k for maya, not even 5 years ago and now it is $500 for Shake and $2000 for Maya. So far though, since they bought Shake, they have done a decent job on it. There are outstanding issues with the software that we have all been rattling the cages about since before Apple bought them. Which sounded like just problems with the foundation of the software which is why I believe they are rewriting it in the first place. -deke Using Tomcat but need to do more?
