Our main focus is on 64-bit, but we also produce a 32-bit version for 
people with older hardware.

I think rendering can be done on ordinary PCs, providing you have the 
patience.

Usually these days you get an ethernet socket on the laptop as well. So 
you'd download and install the distro from a fast LAN connection, 
configure your wireless card, and then you're free to go roaming. That's 
what I do, anyway.
