Shot Finalers are responsible for finessing the lighting on a shot and
compositing together the resulting character and environment renders
into a final shot. They assemble incoming data (models, looks,
animation, efx) from upstream departments for lighting adjustments;
create light rigs and adjust the lighting in those files; render the
necessary levels; use appropriate compositing software to create a
composite tree that combines the rendered levels and adjust the final
composite until it meets the vision of the Director and Art Directors

color maps, specular maps, displacement maps, etc.) using proprietary
and public 2D and 3D paint tools and use a proprietary,
expression-driven toolset to efficiently create procedural textures They
will work with the Look Development TDs to create the materials that
define the look of 3D characters and/or objects used in production. They
create and maintain texture maps, command files and all other assets
that are associated with the look of a 3D character and/or object and
plug all created texture maps into renderman shaders and manipulate
shader parameters to define the organic surface qualities.=20

To apply, please visit
http://corporate.disney.go.com/files/WDAS_Submission_Form.pdf and follow
the instructions to submit your reel via mail or digital upload.
---------------------------------------------------------
Character Finalers (Technical Animators)
