I would like to clarify something here:

I did NOT tell Steve to shut up about the problems with the web page that he
noticed.  Identifying and reporting problems is perfectly reasonable, and I
have no problem with that.

What I do have a problem with is the attitude which seemed to be being
presented regarding the situation.  What I have a problem with is that when the
issue was raised again of putting mf's new site layout live, Christian
specifically asked everyone whether they felt it was appropriate to put it live
and how it should be done, and Steve explicity gave his ok along with everybody
else, then later he comes along and says "why did we go live with it?" like
it's somebody else's fault.  I have a problem with the fact that the highest
concern seemed to be "who's to blame for this mess?" instead of "how can we fix
it and move on?".

I never at any time said that Steve hasn't contributed a lot to the project, or
that he isn't still doing so.  Go back and look.  I never said that.  What I
did say was that I have a problem with people who are more concerned about
assigning blame than fixing a problem.  The issue with the iframes was a
problem which needed a solution, and Steve's continued repeating of his
(pointless) "Why did we do this?" question offered no solutions, only politics.
I dislike politics.  I dislike people maneuvering others into situations so
they can attack their actions later.

In short, I had a problem with the question "why did we do this?", and I would
even have let it go if Steve hadn't kept pushing it.  I do not think the
question is productive, or very appropriate under the circumstances, and
ultimately I got fed up enough that I said so.  The words I chose may not have
been ideal, but I do stand behind my position, and I want people to understand
what my position was.

That having been said, the issue seems to be resolved anyway, so let's just
move on.  I wanted to post this because several people seem to have gotten the
wrong impression of what I actually said, and why I said it, and I wanted to
make sure that got cleared up, but I don't think it's productive to get bogged
down in this stuff, so please don't let this trigger more arguments.  It's
really not worth it.  As far as I'm concerned the whole thing is done with, and
it's time to move on to more important things..
