The 2MB limit of a Cluster in MCF is just a guideline. There is actually no such
limitation in the actual format. The 2MB is based on what can be checked with
usual CRCs. And yes it is mainly targeted at compressed movies with a usual
bitrate (1 movie in 1 or 2 CDs). That's where the guideline applies. It's also
the size you're supposed to handle in memory, ie cache a whole Cluster and then
read inside. Otherwise you're free to use smaller or bigger Clusters.

BTW, did you check matroska ? It's a bit more object-oriented like the thing you
proposed.
