I'm not sure what I'm seeing yet...I asked for a 6990 kbps DVD
video-file and it ended up averaging 6777 kbps.  So far, my theories are
[1] more issues with rate-control in mpeg2enc or [2] my latest version
of y4mdenoise is doing really well (bordering on magic) with DV
camcorder footage of amateur sports footage (which should be a nightmare
case for both denoising and MPEG encoding).  I'm leaning towards #1.
(Although magic would be a welcome change of pace! :-)
