Hallo there was some talk about the Zoran driver on 64 Bit systems with more than 2GB of Ram last week. Klaus Stengel has posted a patch for 2.6.24 on the developer mailinglist. On the 19.Mai.2008 You find the patch here: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_name=1211153754.25181.32.camel%40aquila.nathanet.lan I have applied the patch to a 2.6.27 Kernel I had on my system. I did need to change the patch a little so I could apply it. I can confirm that Klaus patch also works with the DC30 and Buz. The reason why I didn't test the patch when it was released is that I didn't have a 64Bit machine with more than 2GB of Ram. I really think that this patch should make it into the kernel. I have checked the kernel logs, but I didn't find any hit that this patch did make it ever into the kernel. Could there someone check if that is really true. So how is the best way that this patch will be included into the Linux kernel ? I can try to apply the patch to a current kernel it we need to test it with a new kernel or a specific one. auf hoffentlich bald, Berni the Chaos of Woodquarter Email: [email protected] www: http://www.lysator.liu.se/~gz/bernhard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
