Hello, I'm a mjpegtools package maintainer in SUSE and I'm writing you = regarding few patches that we have for mjpegtools in openSUSE and that = would be really nice to incorporate into upstream. Would you be please so kind and take a look at [1] where you can see all = our patches? I went through the patch list and I was trying to find more = information about them that would help you with deciding if this patch = is interesting for upstream or not. Unfortunately, nearly all of them = were added really long ago, so there is no much information about them. = I'm attaching what I found below. ---------- Patch list ---------- - mjpegtools-2.0.0-fix-bashisms.patch =A0 * fix bashisms in shell scripts =A0 * fix shebang in lavtc.sh that contains bash-specific constructions - mjpegtools-config_h.patch =A0 * add missing #include <config.h> - mjpegtools-cpuinfo.patch =A0 * overwrite cpuinfo.sh, the build-host is basically random and = optimizing for a random cpu does not help - mjpegtools-gcc47.patch =A0 * Fix build with gcc 4.7. - mjpegtools-getopt.patch =A0 * getopt returns int, not char align vector buffers to 16 bytes mark = one string constant as const build parallel - mjpegtools-more-pie.patch =A0 * remove some -fno-PIC calls. They do not seem to be necessary and = break PIE builds.(The compiler would warn if the assembler would not = build.) - mjpegtools-no_arch_tuning.patch =A0 * In a distribution you don't want to compile for the CPU you happen = to build the code on. So add an optionb to disable automatic tuning. - mjpegtools-v4l-2.6.38.patch =A0 * Add mjpegtools-v4l-2.6.38.patch: use the new v4l interface - mjpegtools-vector_alignment.patch =A0 * unfortunately no further information - mjpegtools-writeable_strings.patch =A0 * unfortunately no further information Thank you for looking at it and please let me know if you need any = further information.
