Hallo

I did, by accident, delete the mail from Kristyna Streitova E-Mail:
[email protected], sent to the mailing list.

If there is something missing Kristyna, please send the mail again, I
will approve it the next time, most of the time there are just spammails
comming in.

I did just check an SUSE project page, an my Opensuse Leap 15
installation still ship mjpegtools 2.0.0, the mjpeg project did release
the mjpeg tools 2.1.0 in 2013:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/mjpeg/files/mjpegtools/2.1.0/

When we include your patches into SVN, and we release a new Version it
will quite likely have the version 2.1.1 or 2.2.0 ;)

I did not delete the request in my mailbox, so I forward her mail to the
mailinglist:
Hello,

I'm a mjpegtools package maintainer in SUSE and I'm writing you
regarding few patches that we have for mjpegtools in openSUSE and that
would be really nice to incorporate into upstream.

Would you be please so kind and take a look at [1] where you can see all
our patches? I went through the patch list and I was trying to find more
information about them that would help you with deciding if this patch
is interesting for upstream or not. Unfortunately, nearly all of them
were added really long ago, so there is no much information about them.
I'm attaching what I found below.

----------
Patch list
----------

- mjpegtools-2.0.0-fix-bashisms.patch
   * fix bashisms in shell scripts
   * fix shebang in lavtc.sh that contains bash-specific constructions

- mjpegtools-config_h.patch
   * add missing #include <config.h>

- mjpegtools-cpuinfo.patch
   * overwrite cpuinfo.sh, the build-host is basically random and
optimizing for a random cpu does not help

- mjpegtools-gcc47.patch
   * Fix build with gcc 4.7.

- mjpegtools-getopt.patch
   * getopt returns int, not char align vector buffers to 16 bytes mark
one string constant as const build parallel

- mjpegtools-more-pie.patch
   * remove some -fno-PIC calls. They do not seem to be necessary and
break PIE builds.(The compiler would warn if the assembler would not build.)

- mjpegtools-no_arch_tuning.patch
   * In a distribution you don't want to compile for the CPU you happen
to build the code on. So add an optionb to disable automatic tuning.

- mjpegtools-v4l-2.6.38.patch
   * Add mjpegtools-v4l-2.6.38.patch: use the new v4l interface

- mjpegtools-vector_alignment.patch
   * unfortunately no further information

- mjpegtools-writeable_strings.patch
   * unfortunately no further information

Thank you for looking at it and please let me know if you need any
further information.

Best regards,
Kristyna Streitova
