DVICO HDTV cards and time

Hi Listies,

Does anyone have working time/time remaining OSD with mplayer and a DVICO 
recorded transport stream?  Mine always shows nonsense, eg. 22:55/11:09 
when the program's 5 seconds in.

I'm working from a CVS compile from awhile back, but wanted to see if 
anybody knew anything about this issue before I bothered with upgrading.
