I'll attach my channels.conf so you may compare the syntax with yours.

I tried that although I don't really know which ones are free to air and
I don't think that's what's causing me problems.

This is automatically done by the driver. I just use make insmod and it
used that flag.

Sure, I'll attach it.

One Universal Twin LNB pointing to Astra. I can use the card with vdr
quite well and using a plugin called vdr-stream I can even pipe the
output to mplayer but using mplayer directly would be much more
comfortable.

I couldn't find much interesting stuff in there. Could you send me a
link to szap/scan? I'll search a bit but if you have a link at hand it
won't hurt.
