Hi,

I removed your patch and incremented lavc_venc_context.gop_size from 1 
to 11. For gop>=2 I get these messages, though vid plays:



[mpeg1video @ 0x83d5a28]warning, cliping 1 dct coefficents to -255..2550 93%

But still the card chokes with lavc=9000 everytime the vid gets complex.

Ah, well :)
