Don't know, the reason that we use the 1.0 gamma visual if found, is
because it is possible to change the gamma of that visual
with ffb/afbconfig  on afb/ffb cards. The other visuals have
a constant gamma that is not affected by ffbconfig.
Maybe you can change the gamma on xvr100 with some similar command?
