My guess is that there is some other problem.  Perhaps Ogle tries to use
the wrong device, or you dont' have correct permissions on the device.
There is also the known problem with a elusive kernel bug.
If you can, try to use the ide-scsi driver instead of the ide-cdrom for
the DVD drive, this seems to have helped lots of people.

If that fails please run ogle from a terminal with the --debug flag and
email us the output (ogle --debug >& ogle.log).
