Bad default window size

hi

Although I have a section in $HOME/.oglerc as follows:

     <display>
         <name></name>
         <geometry>
           <width>800</width>
           <height>450</height>
         </geometry>

           <horizontal_pixels>800</horizontal_pixels>
           <vertical_pixels>450</vertical_pixels>

         <resolution_src>user</resolution_src>
         <switch_resolution>yes</switch_resolution>
         <ewmh_fullscreen>yes</ewmh_fullscreen>
         <initial_state>
           <fullscreen>no</fullscreen>

   </video>
[snip]

the videos are not properly displayed in a 16/9 size
but stretched in vertical direction. I can't see any
difference if the geometry settings are changed  :-(
Some tests showed me that the files are actually found
and read.

Furthermore the menu point [Settings...] does not
end up in any settings panel - what I actually thing
it should...
