libglade question

I hope I don't irritate someone with this question. It seems to be a
common deal, but I can't find the solution. 

I am running Slackware 9.1 and have all the most-recent files for Ogle,
thanks the the fellow who put together the Slack packages. 

When running ogle, though, I get this error: 

Error during dlopen: libglade.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No
such file or directory

The Ogle web site says that a requirement for complicating and running
of ogle_gui is the installation of the developer versions of gtk and
libglade. Upon doing a "find / -name libglade.so* -print", I come to
understand that I do not have the "developer version" (I am not a
programmer, so some of this stuff is still Klingon to me, sorry). 

The Ogle site also gave a link to the Gnome web site. I can find
download sections and ftp directories of gtk and libglade. But, there is
no specification whatsoever about them being "developer versions" or
not. I would really like to avoid "littering" my system with unwanted
and unused stuff just because I had to use trial-and-error to get
libglade installed (the developers version).

So, I'd like to ask: Where can I find developers versions of gtk and
libglade to install them on my Slack 9.1 system?
