Speedstep slows down the CPU when the laptop is running on battery. I have disabled speedstep in the BIOS, and now ogle is reporting 547.625 mhz for my cpu speed. However, I still have all the same problems when trying to play back the DVD. If you want another copy of the --check output, let me know and I'll send it through. Regards, Richard
