ogle can't read any data on Debian sarge

Good morning.

Operating System: Debian Sarge
Ogle: Debian package (0.9.2-2) with ogle-gui (0.9.2-2)
Kernel: 2.6.3 (Debian Package)

When I try to play a dvd with ogle I got the error at the bottom of the
mail. The strange things is that when I play a dvd with mplayer (or under
windows) everything work fine.

The permission on the /dev/dvd device are 664, assigned to root disks. My
user belong to disks too. Stupidly (does this exist in English? :-)) I
haven't yet try it as root.

I play dvd through the gui with the "open disk" menu.

I've red on the archive that this could be a kernel problem or a region
problem. I don't know how a kernel problem could be, 'cause mplayer plays
dvd correctly, and I don't know how region problem could be, 'cause
mplayer plays dvd correctly.

As soon as possible, I'm going to try the original source version of ogle
to see if problem remain.

Any advice?

Ogle can't read any data.
Make sure that the CSS authentication works correctly.

Three common problems are:
no write permission on you DVD drives device node.
you are trying to play a DVD from a region other than the one
of the DVD drive.
or you have never set the region on the drive.

For setting the region; a program called regionset will do this.
Search for dvd_disc or dvdkit on freshmeat.net
Beware that you can only sset the region 5 times!
