Are you running on (an old) notebook? with little video memory?
In that case you can try lowering the colordepth (or resolution) of the display
to free some video memory.
Or set the environment variable OGLE_USE_XV=0 to disable the use of Xv,
but then you won't get scaling of the video.

If this isn't the problem I need more debug information from running
ogle --debug
