what rpms did you use to install ogle?

These messages suggest that you are using an older ogle_gui version than ogle.

Yes this seems to be an alsa problem.
Maybe you have an /etc/alsa/cards/aliases.conf.rpmnew or something,
if you edited it by hand, maybe the new rpm didn't update the file.
You should be able to remove the aliases.conf and reinstall the rpm
to recreate it.

You can try using another alsa device then 'default' in the oglerc also.
