Thanks for the prompt response

I am prepared to have a go using CVS but I have only
installed packages using rpms in the past - from
"well-known" repositories 

1. because it is easy
2. because the dependencies are probably all worked
out for the distribution

I had a look at the CVS directories but don't know
where to start.

Can you point me at some standard instructions on how
to use CVS? I will attempt to build Ogle from CVS on
my Fedora 4 system - then test it.
