configure for arm problem

Hi all,

When i run the script below, i get an error message

CC=arm-linux-gcc LD=arm-linux-ld NM=arm-linux-nm AR=arm-linux-ar \
RANLIB=arm-linux-ranlib ./configure  --host=arm-linux

>>configure: error: cannot link a test picogui program.

Am i doing something wrong with the configure options?
(The version of picogui i use is 0.45.)
