Interested in contributing to Cloud integration for desktop (GSoC project)

Hi everyone,


I’m Eduardo Salinas, a senior at UTRGV pursuing a degree in Computer
Engineering, with a strong background in Electrical Engineering and C++.
I’m excited to contribute to VLC through Google Summer of Code 2025.


I’m particularly interested in the Cloud Integration for Desktop project
and would love to know how to get started. I’m familiar with Git and have
experience working with cloud platforms like AWS and Google Cloud, though
I’m still new to open-source contributions.


Could you please guide me on the next steps? I saw that Pierre is listed as
the proposed mentor for this project. I’d really appreciate the opportunity
to connect and learn how I could submit a small patch or otherwise begin
contributing.
