Small solution for video streaming

Hello,

I'm starting to develop a simple solution based on
VideoLAN or another open-source software.

My problem is: I want to watch my store from anywhere
on the internet. I already have 4 B/W cameras and the
commander, a Mythos quad splitter, all these working.

I would like to know the requirements. How can I plug
the commander to a computer? Do I have to buy a MPEG
card? I will need extra bandwidth, but only one person
will be using the server at the same time, so I dont't
need too much. Do you have any idea, about a cheap
network solution?
