[streaming] Choppy streaming audio

Hi,

If this is not the right place to ask the following question please tell me were to ask it. I tried the forum but no one has provided support yet. Question:


FreeBSD 6.2 w/KDE
Sound chip: pcm0: <Avance Logic ALC850 AC97 Codec>
VLC media player 0.8.5 (wxWidgets interface)

I go to open network stream and in the HTTP field I try:

http://www.001radiostorm.com/stream/hardrock.asx

It connects but the audio is very choppy. How do I fix this?

In XP on the same PC the audio is OK.
