Hi, I'm a problem during VLC streaming. I'm doing several video trasmissions(using RTP protocol over UDP) on channels with different condition of loss and I'm recording the video on file. The strange thing is that although the percentage of packet loss is different(e.g. 0.5%,1%,3%) the number of frames of the received video decrease approximately of the same amount; while the video quality degradation increase with the percentage of packet loss (as I supposed). Reasonably, I supposed also a decrease of the received frames with the increase of packet losses. In short, with the increase of percentage of packet loss there is a decrease of video quality but there is no proportional decrease of the frame number. So, 1) Is there a strategy in VLC which can explain this results? 2) What's the behavior of VLC when receive only a part of a frame? Thank you for your answers.
