xine arts contest

Hi,

In expectation of the big 1.0 release, the xine project needs your help.
And in order to make things more interesting for you, we proudly announce

   The xine Arts Contest
   =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D

The Deal:
--------
You submit any kind of xine related artwork till December 15th, 2001.
Your artwork should probably be based on the official xine logo[1], and if
you wonder what "artwork" refers to, here's an incomplete list:

  - new versions of the xine logo
  - xine-ui visual animations (clips that xine-ui 0.9.15 or newer shows
                               while playing audio-only files, eg. MP3)
  - xine banners
  - xine sloagans (complete marketing campaigns are okay as well ;-)
  - xine trailers (like the official xine teaser[2])
  - xine-ui skins
  - icons

Submissions are accepted via [email protected], but you can also send
them directly to me.


The Prize:
----------
From=20December 17th till December 24th, the submitted artefacts will be
rated by the xine user community, and the highest rated submissions win
one of these prizes:

1st prize:
An original xine T-Shirt, with a nice xine logo, personal dedication to
the winner, hand signed by G=FCnter himself.

2nd prize:
An original xine cup/coffe mug. This is also hand-signed by G=FCnter, and i=
t
comes with a nice xine banner as well.

3rd ... 5th prize:
A picture post card, with a nice xine banner and, you guessed it,
hand-signed by G=FCnter

priceless:
All submitters are granted a free, life-time, transferrable xine license.
And of course, all submissions will be presented in a gallery on the xine
homepage, so you can even earn eternal fame ;-)
