xine-lib 1-rc0a, xine-ui 0.9.22, xine-vcdx 1-rc0

Hi all!

Despite our release mechanism having some trouble due to SourceForge's
anonymous CVS issues, there have been a whole bunch of new releases, this
week:

* xine-lib 1-rc0a comes with lots of bugfixes and some quite cool new
  features:
  Along with xine-ui 0.9.22, you can mirror your xine session within your
  network, and there's a whole set of cool video post  processing
  plugins, eg. an advanced deinterlacer based on the tvtime project.

* xine-ui 0.9.22 enables these new features, fixes some bugs and brings
  some nice enhancements

* xine-vcdx 1-rc0
  is a major redesign. This advanced Video CD plugin will most likely
  replace xine's VCD plugin soon. If you can use support for .bin/.cue
  files or VCD menus, try it out now!

  * add expand post video filter for displaying subtitles in borders
  * speex (http://www.speex.org) audio decoder support
  * dxr3: libavcodec from xine's ffmpeg plugin can now be used for MPEG reencoding
    (so reencoding is now possible without installing any additional libraries)
  * add support for seeking in real media files
  * improved support for real video codecs
  * new deinterlacer (tvtime) plugin with more algorithms, full framerate output,
    2-3 pulldown detection, judder correction, chroma upsampling error free,
    works with all video drivers. warning: cpu intensive :)
  * some post plugins ported from mplayer: boxblur, denoise3d, eq, eq2, unsharp
  * big improvement of v4l input and associated demuxer. Including
    sound capture using alsa and a/v sync. Now radio is supported as well.
  * dxr3: using decoder timestamps will hopefully fix some last sync problems
  * (hopefully) fix crashes with win32 Quicktime DLLs
  * improve seeking in asf and avi files
  * fix seeking to near the end of avi files
  * fix handling of exotic a/v RIFF chunks (00iv, 0031, ...) in avi files
  * libdvdnav: fix LinkNextC assertion failure
    (fixes LotR-SEE bonus disc image gallery)



xine-ui (0.9.22) unstable; urgency=low

  * control xine and fbxine via stdin, patch from Dirk Meyer <[email protected]>,
  * add splash screen,
  * multibyte string support from Frantisek Dvorak,
  * reload old playlist if no MRL is given (can be turned off),
  * new widget, double box,
  * font caching and cleanups from Frantisek Dvorak,
  * change policy of created widget, all non skinned are disabled and hidden,
  * new window: post plugin chain, aka "chain reaction",
  * support gxine playlist format,
  * support new audio event from the lib,
  * fix window stacking bug while switching output modes (windowed/fullscreen),
  * don't show up mouse cursor on keyboard action,
  * network control can manage loop modes,
  * fix crash when pressing 'm' or 'n' with empty playlist


xine-vcdx
=========
Aug 2, 2003 (1-rc0):
   MRL format add one vcdx:/ -> vcdx:// and : -> @
   e.g. vcdx://dev/cdrom:E4 -> vcdx:///dev/cdrom@E4
   (matches vlc's format)

   Fix bug in moving between playlists when items refer
   to a different device or disk image.

   Pick up libraries/cflags from vcdimager PKG. May
   fix a configuration bug reported.

June  15, 2003 (1-beta12a):
   Changes dictated by libcdio 0.61.
   Better initialization of log handlers.
   Can new set CDDB cache directory, network timeouts, and whether caching
   is enabled. Can configure to build just CD-DA plugin and will do so if
   libvcd is not found.
