yes, i had a few of them.

Not really. They provided support under DOS (some wav/voc rec/playback .exe),
together with a csp.sys (or similar) file for loading the firmware/program
to the DSP, one of the 6 .csp files depending on format and en/decoding,
from the dos driver directory.

We've (we=ESP-team) reverse engineered it and added supoprt for its hw adpcm
formats in our DOS audio recording/editing software. (yes, mplayer is not my
first media related app:))
(we RE'd the method of using the ASP/DSP chip to do the job, not the
compression itself)
