Thanks, but I was referring to the (evidently) common uncompressed video stream 
samples that everyone writing low-bitrate codecs seem to optimize for.  Luckily 
I found one reference of them:  I downloaded a PDF with video codec research 
and it dropped the hint that the source file was "foreman.avi", so I searched 
for "foreman.avi" on google and found a download location.

If there is an "official" repository for these clips (I have no idea if the 
foreman.avi I found is the real one) I'd still like to know.
