It's not 100% polished yet, but it works with 95% of the MP3+Gs I've tried. I'm planning to stick it up somewhere like Sourceforge but haven't got round to it yet. I built this as a standalone application, but a codec approach is a nice idea. It uses the pygame library (for MP3 playback and SDL display) so it would need to be completely rewritten in C without those dependencies. I'd be interested in doing that, however, if people think this is a good idea. I don't know anything about the architecture of Xine and its codecs, so I don't know if a codec is appropriate for this kind of thing.
