latest xine-lib in Debian unstable

Hello,

Yesterday evening I tried to record some DVB live stuff with the connection
dvbstream (recording engine) and latest xine (playing engine).

After about half an hour the window suddenly broke down and the recording was
_finished_ by accident.

Distro is latest Debian unstable, kernel is 2.6.22.3.

Fortunately this does not happen with dvbstream / mplayer.

In so far the problem is a _pure_ xine-lib issue (1.1.7-3).

Please do your best to make that lib stable, so that such an accident does not
happen again.

Apart from that I am missing some german menu titles in latest xine-ui
(0.99.5-2+b1):

The menu title above _Wiedergabe_ (Playback) is missing and the german Umlauts
do not appear at all. My language setting (locale) is de_DE as default.
Does xine-ui need other locale settings or have I found a software bug or even
packaging bug?

Thanks

Uwe
