Hey Darren,

I am DVB freak (yeah, a crack), so please stop to teach me those 
lessons.......
Above that, Astra-19.2 E comes in here with high leveled energy (more than 5 
times than _minimum enough!_), so this possible reason of the problem we can 
safely exclude..... :)

A better idea would be to ask the admin of that list to raise the volume level 
from 40 kB to at least 60 or 80 kB.... :)

Anything else (like the current setting) is a user-hostile pain.... :(
If someone doubts, just think about the possibility for users reading that 
list to reproduce reported problems......

Sorry, but my locale _IS_ de_DE, and this worked fine for all previous 
versions of xine.

Changing this setting to de_DE.UTF-8 will cause problems elsewhere........
This is no solution, but a very humble workaround.... :(
And I do prefer real solutions..... :)

How about the audio channel problem (that's a real harsh bug!)?

If I run arte on frequency 11836 with mplayer I get german language (as it 
should be). If I take xine, I only get french language (which is abnormal!), 
and I cannot change the language setting at all (which is also abnormal, i. 
e. definitely buggy :(  )
