Sorry, but this sounds quite confusing and misleading :( The audio PID for arte on 11836, Astra 19.2, is 402. Normal behaviour for that channel on that frequency is GERMAN as default audio stream, not FRENCH!! Normal behaviour for arte on frequency 11567, Astra 19.2 is FRENCH, audio PID is 136. > To get multiple audio channels, demux-ts requires a PMT section. > You can either use an app that generates such a PMT or edit your > channels.conf to remove the unwanted audio pids. Thank you for the hint, Christophe :) I can use kaffeine, and I can use mplayer. Within them the problem does not appear. Using xine-ui, the problem appears as follows: Starting frequency 11836 (audio PID 402) for the first time, I do not get any sound at all. The default sound stream should be German. Switching to the french frequency (11567) I get french audio stream. Switching back to the German frequency (11836) I get french audio stream instead of the German one. Trying to change the audio stream on frequency 11567 (i. e. the French one) to German I do not get any sound at all. As this problem does not appear neither with mplayer nor with kaffeine, the bug MUST result in xine-ui and nowhere else! A. On whatever frequency f. ex. arte appears there must be the chance to change the audio stream within the GUI (f. ex. xine-ui) if the channel is bilingual or even trilingual (f. ex. the Luxembourg TV channels). B. This change ought to be set graphically in xine-ui, as it is set graphically in gmplayer also. Now, as I am very convinced that someone poking around in xine-ui fucked it all up: Second try: Can someone please try to reproduce the problem with xine-ui, gxine and frequencies 11836 and 11567, audio PID 402, video PID 401 on Astra-19.2 E? Thanks Uwe P. S.: My channels.conf was produced with latest dvb-apps. In so far I cannot and will not simply wipe out inappropriate audio PIDs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
