I build RPMs for xine for the RHEL x86_64 (AMD64) architecture. I used to use rpmbuild, but I'm #1 not using RHEL anymore and #2 unable to get it to run on Ubuntu. What I did for the last group that I built was use debbuild, which requires files that are in the hg repository. Last time I built, several versions had passed, so I just built the latest that I could out of hg, but I'd like to be able to build against a particular release. I've tried everything I can think of to retrieve a "release" version from hg, but with no success. Is there a way to clone a repository with a "released" version of code? If so, how?
