Re: xine-user Digest, Vol 25, Issue 4

Another problem is that there are so many file formats
and streaming formats for which xine has no plugins,
or at least they are hard to find because who knows
what they are called? where to find them?
I still cannot play mp4 with xine, cannot play rtsp
streams with xine, even though I have installed so
many codecs, that it is impossible to keep track of
all of them.
Would be nice if xine could do what winamp can:
play just about every media file and stream out
there. This would require that xine-lib be the
only lib of codecs to install and nothing else.
But that would be a very tall order.

Cheers,

JD
